2007 Holiday Concert with Makaha Sons and Keali'i Reichel

Hapa returned to San Diego to perform their unique blend of Hawaiian Music. Barry Flanagan, Nathan Aweau along with Kumu Hula and Master Chanter Charles Kaupu will delighted us with stories about their beautiful music and lyrics. Hapa Miss Aloha Hula 2002, the beautiful Malia Petersen, transcended each song she danced with grace and elegance.

Performing with Hapa was San Diego’s award winning Halau Heali’is Polynesian Revue. Kumu Hula Kathy Gore Stanley has been teaching for over 30 years. Kathy’s daughter Edie Heali’ionalani has linked together to join her mother in presenting one of the premiere halau in San Diego and South California.

On December 7th 2007 we welcomed back the talented Makaha Sons and their special guest, the incomparable Keali'i Reichel.

Performing this year with Makaha Sons are San Diego's finest Halau. In their 4th performance at the Hawaiian Christmas concert The Pualani Dancers, under the direction of Auntie Barbara Finneran; Taupou in their 2nd performance, under the direction of Kiki Sotoa-Solia; and in their 7th continuous and 10th performance with Makaha Sons are Halau o Na Ali'i.

We are pleased to tell you that our venue has changed to the beautiful and recently renovated Birch North Park Theatre. There is ample on street parking as well as nearby parking lots.

Thank you very much for your continued support of Hawaiian music. What a way to start our Christmas Season!
